AKQA [2022]
This release emerged in partnership with the Brazilian rapper Criolo and Soma+, an educational project from AKQA São Paulo that helps expand the professional knowledge of young black and indigenous talents from the outskirts of Brazil who wish to access the advertising market.

The music video "Pretos Ganhando Dinheiro Incomoda Demais" comes to life through an imagined fable with students from Soma+ in partnership with Gana and Mooc, titled: "The Tree of Wealth." This fable is a historical rescue that makes visible chapters of our history that were not taught in school. We are not descendants of scarcity or servitude. We are descendants of queens, kings, and wealthy individuals whose prosperity was stolen.

THE SYMBOL

The symbol represents The Tree of Wealth, with the pulp, roots, and fruits. It incorporates various symbolisms relevant to the fable. The structure is based on the shapes of Adinkra symbols and the grid on the Flower of Life, a sacred symbol appearing in works of ancient Egypt. The position of the fruits comes from the position of Sirius, inspired by the beliefs and knowledge of the Dogon, who are an ethnic group living in the central plateau region of Mali, in West Africa.

MOBILE EXPERIENCE

In The Tree of Wealth web app, we bring the fable of the clip to real life. In the roots, the stories of the characters present in the film are told, and with each story you learn, the tree bears real fruits linked to art and education. Among them are free courses on black representation, discounts of 50% and 80% on books by black authors, exclusive digital arts, and a 50% discount on finance courses.
